The person doing the fitting wasn't very helpful considering we had never rented a tux before.. the pants and shirt ended up being a bit to small. We were able to make it work but I feel he should have guided us a bit better. The tux was for my 14 year old who did say it was fine because he didn't want to speak up... both our faults. Next time I will be way more involved in the fitting process instead of trusting the staff.
We went for the tux fitting on a Saturday close to when the store opened. There were only two people working. We waited for 45 minutes before being helped. We had another appointment elsewhere, so we almost had to leave before being helped. I had tried to make an appointment, but you do not do appointments for prom. I think a sales associate could have helped someone else while a man was trying on clothes to help speed up the process when the store is that busy and/or get more people to work there on a Saturday in May.
Even though the pants were supposed to be the right fit, they were too tight. Unfortunately, we didn't have enough time to go back to the store to get another pair because my son was on his way to prom.

Fast service
People fitting me didn’t explain anything, and were just rude. I am 18 and went in by myself. They clearly cater to parents during prom and not the students.
The man who served me had the flu. That's normal, but it's disrespectful to serve so many people without wearing a mask. The people she served go to celebrations with other people and unknowingly infect others.
I would recommend more seriousness and responsibility.
The representative who did my initial measurements was super nice efficient and very knowledgeable even though it was busy in there she did not make me feel rushed and she explained fully how the retail process would work
When I picked up my tux that representative was nice as well and again made me feel like I didn’t have to rush
All in all the experience was a 10 even drop off was easy

Nice suits and friendly service. The gentleman at the 1974 Hacienda Drive store in Vista was a true pro, great to work with. Got in and out of there faster than the nearby burger joint's drive-thru.

I especially liked that the tux could be shipped to me and shipped back. This was not told to me when I was in for sizing but when I called to confirm the bow tie color, it was offered. This was a great service that saved me time and fuel.
Got two jackets, both didnt fit. Was told id get replacement shoes in the mail but didnt.
When I went in I had no idea of what I wanted and the lady helped me out really happy real professional I would recommend people
I’ve rented from friar twice and bought 3 suits from them, all for weddings. Every single time they make me go in 4 to 5 times for each suit and they do a terrible job of communicating.
Great looking tux, staff was very helpful. Smooth transaction for repeat customers.
You should accommodate your customer for personal urgent necessities during their business with your facilities/location.
