Really like my trainer- Kylie & would recommend her 100 % at a 10. Just dont feel comfortable in the main weight room with so many high-school students. Often hear bad language.
The facility vs. the cost make the cost seem a little high in comparison to other for profit organizations.
I really like this YMCA, the people are friendly and I liked the classes offered.
With the new locker room, the Armbrust Y has really stepped up. Nice pool. Good cardio and resistance equipment.
Facilities are very nice and clean and people are friendly.
Have enjoyed the classes
I would like to see a constant cleaning person circulating the equipment. I have seen a person cleaning only once for 15 minutes.
The womens looker room need to be cleaned more often. While beautiful after renovation the tile floor stays very wet. Water plus a little dirt equals slippery ! It smells of urine in th toilet areas.
Great classes and great instructors for Seniors!
There is a lifeguard that really seems agitated all the time. The littlest of things have her blowing her whistle and really abusing her authority. One occasion a few weeks ago she jumped in the pool in an event to “save” someone from drowning when the person had both hands on the side of the pool. I really think that was a bit extra and caused unneeded chaos but it appeared she relished the attention. Maybe she’s bored? Not sure but it’s made me not want to really use the pool as it’s far from relaxing or a friendly environment. I come to the gym three days a week. I think the rest of the staff is awesome. I love the new locker room… I just think the lifeguard I’m mentioning could use some mentoring. Female, no older than 20 quite possibly younger and without sounding racist she appears to be of Asian or South Pacific decent.
I know my own habits. When I plan to work with machines, I usually procrastinate and rarely do it. When I find classes I like they become a major part of my schedule. Heather Rock makes classes fun. I leave her classes feeling like I had fun and a great workout. Participants leave her classes laughing and smiling.
Staff is friendly and helpful. Family oriented. Great pool and variety of workout equipment. Smaller than some of the other Y's which is what I like and still has everything you need. lots of parking.
I like classes at 10:30! Gives me my morning to have coffee and walk my dogs. I wish there were more challenging classes for older adults, similar to the AOA classes.
Also, the lock tabs that stick out of the weight bins in the equipment room are a hazard and they could be removed very easily. I wish they were removed.
Also the women swimmers change in the toilet stalls, leaving everything VERY WET, including the toilet seat. Gross.
Thank you.
They have everything I need and I meet with a trainer every other month to review Evolt results.
Tired of construction and broken equipment.
Great classes, great staff, great community!
I like that classes are consistent and I like the instructors.
It’s very clean and the equipment is up to date!
Family locker rooms need be opened on priority.
Really like the people there and tge class offerings.
I really enjoy the aquarium classes
The tai chi and silver sneakers teacher is awesome!!!!
I enjoy the classes but yoga classes are best at 45 minutes long.
The personal training and assistance has been wonderful.
I love the new changing/shower/restroom areas. Locks were easy to understand, even for a 74 year old. Not excited about the placement of the huge mirror in dressing room. Someone needs to check shower curtains, I've put a few back up on hooks, but I'm short and not comfortable to do. Some of the mounting brackets of on/off showers needs adjusting.
