Hired Strata for a carport/shed demo and installation of new facia/soffit/gutters. Sales pitch was…we don’t use sub contractors, customer service is of high importance, “pipeline discount” given if you sign quickly. Job was quoted as three days, dates agreed upon. Job ended up taking place over three weeks. No project manager was initially assigned so I was left calling around to multiple people to get answers. At every turn I had to contact to get answers. Every interaction was reactive instead of proactive. On day one of demo a child was working on job-site, they did remedy this. Job-site was often left unswept/unclean after the days work was finished. Subcontractors were indeed used. There was never a shortage of managers coming by to “check on things” and yet nothing happened when or how they said it would. Part of why the job was extended was because the scope of the work wasn’t properly conveyed to the workers so they had to come back to finish and fix things on multiple occasions. When displeasure was conveyed I was told “it’s construction so it’s never perfect” and that I should feel ok because I hadn’t paid a dime yet (this is their policy not to take any payment until job is done). Most of these issues come down to communication, which is very easy to fix and what made the whole experience so frustrating. As someone who’s been in hospitality for 20 years it pains me to write this review for a business that deals in customer service, however this how I feel. It felt I was the assistant general contractor for the entire process. I will say at the end of this ordeal, and it was an ordeal, at least the work was satisfactory.

Still waiting on some communication

Bathroom was not completed in three weeks as promised. The job was started the middle of June but not completed until sometime in late July. This was before the repaired was done Toilet was damaged had to be replaced. Holes left in the wall under the vanity when it was installed. Hole in the bedroom wall where drill went through. Window was painted shut. All the above was repair but the drain in the shower is not secure. Have asked several times but no one has replied.

There was so damage from the gutter installation that they tried to deny.

They were responsive to questions, got the job done in a timely manner, were respectful of me and my home. Christian was great as the project manager. He kept me up to date on the progress and answered any questions I had quickly.

Zach and the team made the entire process extremely easy from start to finish. They handled everything, including working directly with insurance, which took a lot off my plate. Communication was clear, timelines were met, and the end result turned out great. I would definitely recommend Strata Construction to anyone needing similar work.

Honestly, I have never had my roof replaced, and they were just amazing at doing the roof, being on time, and getting it all done. They were done after hours, and came back the following day to clean up when it wasn't necessary, because I spoke to the contract manager, and they still came back and cleaned up. So, they were very professional.

Strata Construction was pretty attentive. With the salesguys that I worked with were very attentive, and if I had any issues or problems, they always took care of it for me. Those are the people that I dealt with. I dealt with two people, and both of those guys were very helpful when doing our quotes. If we had any issues when the job was done, they came out and took care of it for us.

Roof work appears good. I paid for a 50 year roof but have nothing to prove that fact. Also, was promised that my insurance company would be notified. I have nothing to show them. Please, follow up.
