The facilities are clean and the space is well orgnized. Staff is friendly, too.
The 2 pools are nice, although the indoor pool could use an improved air circulation system. The sauna is a nice feature as well, but the membership price, more expensive that most of the other YMCA is a bit high for the small selection and dated cardio and weight equipment.
Inside pool
The amenities, including Pickleball, tennis, swimming, gym,
someone who I was advised would show me around the equipment and also had an appointment to meet with a palates person. No shows or calls for anything. Joy Lynn is great and the people at the counter are always friendly and do their best though.
Cleaner facility; especially locker room
Everyone on the staff is fun to interact with
Nice facility. Good group fitness classes. Good value.
I’m mostly a swimmer and I like the club having both an indoor and outdoor pool which I have easy access to.
The trainers are very knowledgeable and friendly and there are a good variety of classes.
Oh wow, I can’t say enough about this location. Friendly and helpful staff, so welcoming. We love it. Our kids love it. It’s just the absolute best
Good workout like your equipment then enjoyed laps in your outdoor pool! Nice & attentive lifeguard and convient parking. Will be learning to play pickle ball and enjoy some exercise classes soon!
Location, friendly staff, wonderful trainers, comfortable atmosphere
Its Exspensive for a gym.
need more weekend and evening classes
Wonderfully equipped, great classes and trainers.
I, as a casual swimmer would like more choices to come in. It’s frustrating having to put up with swim team and classes being held. There is nothing really to choice from during these times during the day.
Close to home, classes offered. Helpful, friendly staff.
family envirionment, veiw of oaks from tennis court, not alot of houses in veiw
The staff is friendly at the front desk. I like the instructors for the various classes I have taken. I hope to take advantage of the personal training classes, as well.
I’ve taken several aquatic classes. They are great! The instructors are knowledgeable and personable.
Why does JMG tennis academy have rights to all the tennis courts, except for courts 1 and 2, ??
I love the Y but it is very expensive especially if you add the Pilates Reformer class. When I tell my friends and family how awesome the Y is, the cost is the major issue they have and I cannot argue. I have Federal Employee BCBS and they have a program that works with many gyms in California and even some YMCAs to lower the cost if you have FEP BCBS. I know you work with quite a few insurance companies and I would urge you to followup with Blue365 Premier Health & Wellness and Aaptiv's Discounts. I have nominated our Y and I would encourage you to follow up especially during this time when finances for most of us are so tight.
I appreciate your staff, programs, facility, available equipment and the overall feeling at Rollingwood. Huzzah! My only suggestion, so far, is to maybe spruce the place up a bit. The bathrooms, in particular, could use a bit of clean-up and paint.
The class was very informative and excellent workout, and the instructor was very positive.
The dry rot on the outside of the building looks bad, and some of it is visible as you walk up. The bathrooms need updating too.
Pilates equipment a real plus
Although I use the facility, I find the indoor pool and deck to be in dire need of super cleaning/steaming..the pool tiles have brown "crud" and I get athletes feet consistently from possibly both pool decks and/or the ladies locker room. The locker room need more safe and new mats to ensure our safety. Also, there is a noticeable "mold like" smell when you first enter the facility and in the small pool room as well as the life guard/swim team room.
The tennis courts need resurfacing and the upstairs deck needs remodeled and open for use. I know that these are big ticket items, but they also help the value of membership amenities.
We are mostly members for the pool, but it is in use by swim team for the majority of the time. They have multiple months of swim clinics during the year, and from April through July, swim team from afternoon through closing time. As a working parent, this leaves me virtually no time to bring my children swimming. This is why anytime someone asks me if they should join for the summer for the pool, I tell them no. Additionally, there is no programming (that I have seen) for teens. My kiddos enjoyed boot camp and pickball camp when they were younger. There is nothing for them now. I find the staff to generally be friendy; that is something we appreciate.
I like the trainers Fernanda and Heather and the reformer Pilates classes. Please don't change them
The Y is a good community club for fitness and pickleball.
I like the classes offered in Yoga and Balance. It has been very helpful to me.
I love my pilates reformer classes and they are a highlight for me. But really dislike how decades of older tennis players are prioritized so low by this facility and put the paid academy above us we have no tennis instructor or fun tennis clinics to encourage new recreational players and no deck to socialize. Our courts are deteriorating, no maintenance as promised a year ago. Pickleball has tons of support, maintenance and social opportunities and instructors
Excellent fitness staff - Heather is my personal trainer and leads a group class I attend - friendly, welcoming staff and good equipment
I’m very pleased with the Y. Wish there were a few more classes offered tho
The Gym is adequately out fitted, some extra classes i.e. 3extra charge are difficult to enroll in, I don't know if there is a better way. Reformer pilates is filled with random skill levels, there is no denotation of class level.
The fron entry has rotting wood exterior which truly needs attention before it gets into more structural damage. Unsightly. Tennis court surfaces needd attention.
I knew this gym long before I became a member. A lot of items need to be upgraded.
Change your clocks at Daylight Savings time. I think the clock in the steam room is still off.
Facility is clean, well equipped, people and staff are kind and helpful
I would recommend the Rollingwood YMCA as a place where it is possible to get a good workout and with a feeling of community. The Y has knowledgeable long-term staff, including those who provide personal training. The condition of the physical facility is a reason that I would not give a "10" recommendation, though I am encouraged to hear that the Y has plans to replace equipment.
Great place with wonderful staff and all the amenities for a variety of things to do.
Great staff, clean facility. One thing that is very irrigating are CELL phone in the work out area. Talking out loud and listing
Pod casts.
Equipment old and not enough cardio machines. I know new equipment is coming in Fall and is the reason I am staying at the club at this time. Want more room for doing my free weights and stretching without having to be in hallway. Bathrooms need serious cleaning/,updating. Wish there was a mat Pilates class. Love the setting and outdoor pool environment.
Friendly and helpful staff. Programs are always changing as the needs of the members change. The location in Fair Oaks is a great location. If swim you can be outside. If your like tennis the outside courts are literally amongst nature. If you like to walk the American River Parkway is just around the corner
The Pickleball play and a activities
I love the community feeling at Rollingwood. I have made friends here and love meeting new people in classes.
The front desk staff are great! So personable and helpful. I like that most staff remember faces and greet members with friendly smiles and a hello.
Mow the lawn, pull the weeds, fix the dry rot, fix the upstairs.
I love being able to come any time of day and find a machine that I can use easily, like the recumbent bikes
I have been swimming with the Rollingwood Rocker's swim team for over a year now.My Swim coach is Steve Minnich and I had some fitness training with Christina Rizzo . All coaches and staff have been professional and friendly. I highly recommend the Rollingwood YMCA.
