I am enrolled in Enhanced Fitness class M-W-F, and a Pre diabetes Class with Cathy. I am preparing for a knee surgery, so the fitness/chair exercises are very helpful. My daughter joined, too, and is enjoying the Water Aerobics classes, and also attended a Yoga class. We live close by, so the Y is very convenient.

None of my friends live near this facility

I was spoiled by the Clearwater Y Family under Stephanie. I volunteered as a Strength and Conditioning Instructor for Livestrong, and wherever I could assist. I was also Philanthropy Specialist to the Branch. I spent more time with members because of my duties, and helped build relationships. Geigle has a different demographic.

To have more early morning classes 5:30am and 6AM

Great instructors and variety of classes

The weekend hours are not late enough. It would be much better, especially during daylight savings time of the year, to be open until at least 6pm. The only other thing I would say about this YMCA, is that it is a very basic experience. Yes, the Y just had some upgrades and that's great.. but for the last 30 years (yes, I've been here since 1996!) there is nothing about any of the staff or programs that is "exceptional". Just pretty standard. Fortunately I'm naturally motivated and get myself to the gym but it's certainly not because any one there cares or notices. It's not a bad experience.. it's just nothing special. Just the basics.

I always like going to the John Geigle location because they have great instructors who inspire me to reach for my goals.

The staff is always friendly and helpful. The equipment is generally well maintained, although all collections of equipment will suffer some breakage.

Everyone is very welcoming. It’s a great social place for anyone feeling lonely. Great classes and activities.

I like the instructors in the silver sneakers class and the exercises they have us do. I like meeting the different people in the class. Everyone is friendly and I feel very comfortable at your YMCA. I feel much better physically when I go to work out at my class. My husband goes to the gym to work out and likes it very much also.

I really enjoy the Y. Please consider bringing back Body Pump Heavy. Also, please remind instructors to check the high sound levels in Body Pump classes.

I have enjoyed the classes and the gym for many years and have been able to keep my weight and muscle tone in sync.

Friendly atmosphere. Instructors are knowledgable and focus on safety and form. Administration, staff, and instructors listen to patrons and project that they truly care. Facility is beautiful and clean. Keri manages the staff and the facility extremely well. She makes herself visible and available to everybody and she, as well as all the staff smile and greet individuals by name.

Everyone is so helpful, friendly and professional. You feel and believe that they all care. The new equipment and courts are first class. The atmosphere is very positive.

The people, instructors and friendly environment. The only negative is the group exercise classes are full and parking is always difficult.

I like the pickleball courts, the pool and the egym.

It's a wonderful place to meet people and make friends. When I moved to Florida, I had no family or friends. I joined the Y and it was the very best thing I could have done. Love it here!

The silver sneaker classes that this Y offers is fabulous for older seniors. Every instructor is very good.

Recent fitness center equipment changes favor more free weights vs resistance/plate machines. Fewer machines has increased wait times to use.

Love my Y. The classes I pick are just what I want at the time of day I prefer. The instructors are uplifting and have a good sense of humor. This Y makes exercising something I look forward to, not I dread.

Fun classes and friendly atmosphere

Gym just recently replaced all of the equipment in the fitness centre. They eliminated most of the machines that I used to use. Also, the new elliptical are worse than the ones they had before.. not as many functions.

Great place to meet people to play pickleball.
