Not shopping best rates. Using nonadmitted carriers when I could find better rates myself.

You ditched my policy because of the fire insurance issue yet kept the homeowners with fire on my son's house a block away. And then you had the nerve to try and get me to keep my auto insurance with you. Your are a disgusting, money sucking company.

When Safeco advised they'd no longer insure our California vacation home I sought support from Home Services to find an alternative. They did so, but then after I had asked a couple of questions for clarification the HS agents dropped the ball. I wrote emails, I called numerous times, and was never able to get a reply and close the deal with Home Services. Ended up having to find a California based broker that was able to get me a policy at higher but not ridiculous rates. A lot of wasted time and effort due to HS failure to follow through and complete the transaction, so you have lost a customer.

Recently when I needed a lien added to my home policy in the process of obtaining a HELOC loan , the response from Frances was prompt and well done for the loan company. It was appreciated. Anytime I have had a question or requested help the service has been good.

it takes a really long time to get things done. our agents seem like very nice people, but usually business is accomplished in weeks/months not days. I usually have to follow up multiple times.

Would rather have one agent within local community, not one for adding policies and another for renewing with neither local. Someone should have proactively altered me and explained why my annual homeowner policy premium is more than doubling.
