Specifications and Contracts - Yes but co-construct does not always calculate payments, credits additions in a timely manner and as you move through the construction process with change orders and adjustments "real-time" calculations are helpful for budget purposes. This may be an area to improve yet, our circumstances may be unique.

Selections - Understanding allowances and packages have been challenging. For instance the 6K lighting allowance would have been better served with an upfront itemization of costs by room so the customer can determine what a particular upgrade being considered is going to be. We got there, but I believe there is an easier approach to this process.

I explained my vision, and Mike and Janet designed the space beyond my expectations. The quality of the materials from the flooring, cabinetry, appliances, and lighting was high. They have laid out, (in notebook form), the steps and requirements of the process making it easy for us to follow the process along.They have their own sub-contractors that they deal with and do not farm out the jobs to a bidding process, (this is very nice from a business point of view for multiple reasons and is also a very good sign for the homeowner).And the signs of the financial health of the company, (subcontractors speak - without prompting - of no bill paying issues, the length of time that B.O.L.D. has been in business, and the payment schedule they require of the homeowner), all point to a well run and financially solid company.After all is said and done we are very happy with our decision to chose B.O.L.D.to build our home, (a huge financial decision that should not be entered into lightly), and would whole-heartily recommend them to anyone considering having their home built, (or remodeled).Sincerely

Customer Suggestion - Not for our needs/concerns, but with an eye to other customers I think that the notebook we get detailing the process and requirements should be converted into an electronic format for those individuals that prefer it that way. The one issue that would be needed though in an electronic format would be changes and the initialing/signing off of which would have to be incorporated into it, (whether through electronic signature confirmation or "old-school" signing manually, converting to PDF and then substituting the revised document/page with the old).
